Clyde Barrow (as played by Warren Beatty)

"Bonnie And Clyde" stars Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty as the title characters Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. It's about the real life exploits of legendary crime duo, Bonnie and Clyde. This movie is #42 on the AFI 100.

Clyde Barrow, played by Warren Beatty, is introduced in the film trying to steal Bonnie's mother's car. Beatty does an outstanding job here, and I really enjoyed his mannerisms.

Faye Dunaway plays Bonnie, and as usual, she's wonderful. Bonnie is intrigued by Clyde when she meets him, and she decides to become his partner in crime.

I also really enjoyed
Gene Hackman's performance as Clyde's older brother Buck, who becomes part of their gang.

For its time, this was a very controversial film because of the graphic nature of the violence depicted and the glorification of murder in certain scenes. I would say that it probably opened the door for films like the
Godfather, one of my favorite films. I really enjoyed this film because it had a great plot and was entertaining. Most people know what happens to Bonnie and Clyde at the end of the film, so it wasn't necessarily a surprise. Regardless, the way the story unfolds is well done, and the acting was fantastic.

It's available in high definition on
Netflix streaming, so if you haven't seen it, check it out!
