Downed A KFC Double Down

I had been wanting to give this thing a shot for a while now. The
KFC Double Down "features two thick and juicy boneless white meat chicken filets (Original Recipe®), two pieces of bacon, two melted slices of Monterey Jack and pepper jack cheese and Colonel's Sauce."

People talk about how terrible this sandwich is because of the high fat content (32g), but a fast food sandwich without a bun just intrigues me. Is fried chicken a suitable replacement for a bun? Maybe not, but I do like the idea of replacing the pure carbs with protein and fat. Compared to McDonald's Premium Chicken Club, it has 90 less calories but a little more sodium.

It was a little weird to hold at first, but eventually I got to take a bite of the sandwich.

I thought it was not bad, but it was a bit salty. The flavors marry reasonably well, but I'm not in a hurry to get another one. I certainly don't think it's as unhealthy for you as some would think. I appreciate that KFC does not use trans fats, and I liked that the sandwich was not as messy as I was expecting. I'm not sure I should recommend this, but if you are curious, I say, "Go for it!"
