Made A Shakin' Jesse
Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!! After the parade and the corned beef and cabbage, it was time to celebrate the actual day. J made another batch of corned beef and cabbage for dinner tonight, but and left me in charge of dessert. So, I made a Shakin’ Jesse for J (also her idea). This is a drink made at Rudy’s Can’t Fail Cafe in Emeryville. It’s described as a “Guinness stout, chocolate ice cream, espresso milkshake.”
I started by making some espresso. I let that cool for a little while.
Then I opened the bottle and poured some Guinness into a blender.
I added the espresso I made right after.
Next, I scooped out some chocolate ice cream and added it.
Then it was time to blend it all up until it had the right thickness. i had to add ice cream a few times to get it right.
I poured it into a cup.
This was a fun little drink to make, and J seemed to enjoy it except she had to drink quite a bit, as I don’t drink.
