Played At A Trampoline Park

"If I ever opened a trampoline store, I don't think I'd call it Trampo-Land, because you might think it was a store for tramps, which is not the impression we are trying to convey with our store. On the other hand, we would not prohibit tramps from browsing, or testing the trampolines, unless a tramp's gyrations seemed to be getting out of control."

I feel very lucky to be working in the beautiful Presidio. Not only do I get a close view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Palace of Fine Arts, but I’m also near some of really great recreational activities. There’s San Francisco CrossFit (home of some of the best fitness coaches in the world), rock climbing gym Planet Granite, and added fairly recently, the trampoline park called House of Air.

Jeremiah and I came here during lunch. We went to a computer to agree to their waiver. They actually sent me a copy of it to my email.

It costs $14/hour but they only start your time on the hour or half hour. We got there at 11:40, which means we could stay until 12:30, unless we wanted to wait until noon rolled around. We decided to get started right away. The young woman behind the counter issued us some swanky Adidas shoes.

After changing into our shoes, we headed over to the main section called “The Matrix”.

One of their crew members gave us some rules and guidelines but eventually he let us jump around in the giant trampoline area.

When you’re just getting started, it is a very strange sensation being on those trampolines. My balance was not quite what I was used to, but when I finally got used to it, I just had fun with it.

One of the easier and more fun things to do was to land on my butt and bounce back up to my feet.

We felt pretty tired after twenty minutes of this foolishness, but we were going in and out of the jumping area ten minutes at a time. We also played around in the dodgeball area called the Colosseum.

In fact, we were invited to play with a few strangers as well. We lost badly. I eventually want to go back with a group and get a few games going. They have a league there for people that want to do this on a regular basis.

Overall, this was super fun. I definitely want to go back, and I feel lucky that I work so close. Next time, I’m definitely wearing gym clothes because I was very sweaty afterward. I would recommend this to anyone that enjoys a good time regardless of age.
