Watched An Episode Of David Lynch's "Twin Peaks"

Inspired by the December 1st tribute episode of Psych entitled Dual Spires, I decided to borrow the Twin Peaks box set from a friend.  Having heard people say they really enjoyed the show, I knew I wanted to watch it at some point.  So, tonight J and I popped the disc in and watched the pilot.

The one thing I noticed off the bat was that there is a
huge cast.  By the end of the episode, I had a hard time keeping track of all of their stories, but I’m sure the more you watch it, the more you get to know who is who and how they all relate.

As far as setting a mood for the viewer,
David Lynch does a fantastic job capturing the eeriness of the town and the tension surrounding the people in the show.  If you have never seen this show, the main story line that drives the plot is the murder of one of the town’s young women, homecoming queen Laura Palmer.

I felt the soundtrack of the show really set the tone, and overall I felt the show gave me plenty to be intrigued about, definitely enough to watch some more.  I’m not sure I could watch a full on Twin Peaks marathon (like I could with Lost), but I do want to find out what happens next.
